Before we get into this week's challenge, I want to share something that's helping me stay consistent with my own work.
Most people jump into the New Year ready to create! And as I always say, there’s no time like the present. Don’t get caught in the Quitter’s Day trap! Approach 2026 like it’s Prime Time because it actually is! With Beehiiv powering your content, world domination is truly in sight.
On beehiiv, you can launch your website in minutes with the AI Web Builder, publish a professional newsletter with ease, and even tap into huge earnings with the beehiiv Ad Network. It's everything you need to create, grow, and monetize in one place.
In fact, we're so hyped about what you'll create, we're giving you 30% off your first three months with code BIG30. So forget about taking a break. It's time for a breakthrough.
Start building for 30% off today.
Now, let's talk about the real work.
A big 2026 starts now
Most people treat this stretch of the year as dead time. But builders like you know it’s actually prime time. And with beehiiv powering your content, world domination is truly in sight.

There's a misconception that many capable people believe.
It sounds responsible. It sounds disciplined. It sounds smart.
"I'll start when I have more clarity." "I just need a little more time." "I want to do it right."
But most of the time, that's not preparation. That's hesitation wearing a clean outfit.
Here's the truth most people don't like hearing: clarity usually shows up after movement, not before it.
You don't think your way into momentum. You move your way into it.
I've seen this in my own life more times than I can count. Writing. Creating. Building projects. Even making decisions that felt big at the time. The moments that changed things didn't come from waiting until I felt confident. They came from doing something small, slightly uncomfortable, and imperfect.
That's where things unlocked.
Most people don't need motivation. They don't need another podcast. They don't need a better planner.
They need permission to start ugly.
And here's the part that matters: Starting ugly isn't lowering your standards. It's honoring your future self instead of protecting your current fear.
When you delay, you're not staying safe. You're staying stuck.
A quick reframe
Instead of asking: "Am I ready for this?"
Try asking: "What's the smallest version of this I could finish this week?"
Not start. Finish.
Because finishing, even something small, changes how you see yourself. And once your identity begins to shift, momentum becomes easier to access.
This is the foundation of the system I break down in my new book, Built to Finish: Your Next CLEAR Move to Turn Ideas into Finished Work. It's a short, practical guide for anyone tired of leaving good ideas half-done. You can grab it on Amazon if you want the full framework.
This week's challenge

I don't want you to overhaul your life. I want you to complete one small, meaningful finish.
Here's how:
Pick one thing you've been circling but avoiding.
Shrink it until it feels almost too easy.
Set a clear finish line.
Complete it within the next 7 days.
No optimization. No sharing it publicly unless you want to. Just finish it.
Then pay attention to how it feels to be someone who follows through.
That's how bigger changes start. Quietly. Repeatedly. On purpose.
If you want, reply and tell me what you're finishing this week. Or just do the work and keep the receipt for yourself.
More next week.
